Karim Ali
Principal Consultant · ChOHSP, FAIHS, CFIOSH, CSP
Karim is a Chartered OHS Professional and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Health and Safety, and a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health. He has more than 20 years of experience managing WHS in high-risk industries, from construction and start-up through to operations, maintenance and decommissioning.
He holds a master’s degree in HSE management from the University of Hull and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and is a certified lead auditor, project and risk manager, and trained lead incident investigator. He has also served as Co-Chair of the AIHS NSW Branch and Chair of the Clean Energy Council’s Wind Industry Safety Forum.

Karim has prepared more than 150 independent expert witness reports for plaintiff and defendant solicitors in public liability, workers’ compensation and work injury damages matters.

Why use a WHS consultant instead of hiring a safety manager?
A full-time WHS manager is a significant ongoing cost, and many small and mid-sized businesses don’t need one five days a week. A consultant gives you senior expertise for the hours you actually need, and you can scale up for projects such as ISO 45001 certification or after an incident.
Do you only work in Sydney?
We’re based in Sydney, and most on-site work is in Greater Sydney and NSW. Much of our work, including system development, document reviews, eLearning and expert reports, can be delivered remotely for businesses anywhere in Australia.
How much does WHS consulting cost?
It depends on the scope. One-off projects are quoted with a clear scope and fee before work starts. Ongoing support is usually a monthly arrangement for a set number of hours. Contact us for a tailored quote.
